Simo suggested a good idea earlier this morning:

If you notice any "bugs" or anything you think could be fixed with a little tweek here and there, then please post them in this thread. Hopefully, the new Administrator might be able to sort them out as, more often than not, it might just be to do with settings and coding. (foreign language to me).

Anyway, here's one to get us started....

When I try to edit a post, it takes two goes at clicking "Edit" before the window opens (admittedly, this could be me just doing something wrong!!!)

Any more?

First of all, please may I express my disappointment. From the title of this thread, I was expecting to find something like this:

Posted Image

:) :) :)

Anyway, it's a good idea! I have two 'little bugs' for the list - and they are here. I posted them just the other day. :)

Edit: I'm good at finding fault..... whatever happened to Shadowninja's nice Ludovico Einaudi forum logo (discussed here) at the top? It's gone back to the default Invision Power Board logo.......

Edit button works first time for me by the way.

The logo would have been changed with the skin - we'd need the logo again to set it right.

The edit button is a problem for me too. I did a little research and it sounds like it's a coding error in the skin. Whoever is admin could try reimporting the skin and seeing if it helps, or just try to find out where the false code is. Shouldn't be too much hassel.

Does anyone else have this problem? (if anyone else checks out this forum!)

I'm on IE8.

Re the skin thing - maybe Shadowninja will be able to do a new logo if we ask him nicely, as the other one was very cleverly colour-co-ordinated. I'm happy to send a PM, but perhaps it would be better coming from our new admin. :)

Internet Explorer 7, but keep meaning to switch to IE 8.
Yep, I think it would be nice for the new Administrator.

Aha! Well, I could try, but I'm not really a graphic designer... that's a different job altogether, and I don't have the software to make anything fancy (unless you don't mind something in MSPaint?!)

We could ask Shadowninja, or I can see if there's a way to integrate something from the homepage/myspace or I can go to a logo desiging site like cooltext.com and make something there, but I don't know how amazing the quality is.

Edit: Stephen I'm also on IE7...maybe we should upgrade and see if it helps?

Aha, I can't speak for Stephen, but I just meant perhaps the new admin could do the PM to Shadowninja......... rather than me! :D

Maybe we could have a competition here on the forum to design a new one?

Indeed, Josh. Shall do! And what I meant was that I agreed with Cathy that it would be appropriate for the new Administrator to contact Shadowninja and request the logo again, not for him to design it!

 Phew! I was a bit worried for a sec that people would expect all sorts of other work from me and that I'd be well out of my league!

So, regardless of who becomes admin (there might be an enslaught of late minute votes!) I'll contact Shadow now and see if he can help.

Hopefully the logo will fit with the new skin! It might be that the colour scheme is completely different.

Edit: (it worked first time just now...!) I contacted Shadow but I see he wasn't here since February and his email is hidden so I could only PM. It would be possible for the admin to send a direct email, I think, but not for an ordinary member, so if he doesn't have email reminders on then we'll have to wait.

Thanks...maybe it's an IE7 bug. I'll upgrade tonight and let you know if it helps.

Sometimes first time, sometimes it takes two goes.

And another thing is the clock! Always gets me in a panic until I remember it's wayyyyy fast.

*cough*

I've already mentioned the clock - twice.....but never mind. (Men!) ;)

How about we make a list to make sense of all this jibber jabber:

Little Bugs for Fixing

1. Problems with Edit clicking (could just be a problem with IE7 - further research being undertaken - Josh to report back.)
2. Links opening in a separate window - that would be oh so nice. :)
3. The clock - fix it!
4. The clock - fix it!
5. The clock - fix it!
6. Pretty logo - Josh on the case...

(The clock thing is really, really annoying so have included it three times just to make sure it doesn't get overlooked.)

:)

Any more?

I'm sure they will! My first job as admin shall be to create a 'whipping post' forum, to ensure that all necessary disciplinary action is undertaken.

If you're lucky, you'll be off the blacklist by then.

I'm quite scared actually - can see my 'warn status' being upped on a daily basis - I'll be banned by the end of the first week!

:D

Nope, there'll be no banning of our favourite modwhosnotamod, you're quite safe!
