Bit difficult to decide on a title for this thread. 'Resignation' sounds too formal; 'Goodbye' too dramatic, so hopefully that title is adequate :)

To be honest, since I've not been about for ages anyway I'm sure everyone assumed I had resigned from the admin post anyway. Actually, I had, but since nobody else had stepped up to it I continued to do the odd bits and bobs. Then after transfering the powers (and responsibility, lol ;) ) to Antonio, he asked me to consider staying on as a team.

The offer was very appealing to me and I would really like to have taken it on. However, things have moved on a bit for me the past couple of months. I released a techno album (haha) which was actually well recieved and picked up by a few netlabels. Actually, discovering the joys of production is quite close to the intense relationship I had with the piano when I first began learning how to play, and I'm spending a lot of my time focusing on this now. Next month I also have a few projects lined up musically. Before then I should really be working on this TEFL course which I started a while ago. Me being me I've neglected it recently because the deadline is so far off and I don't yet have that sense of impending doom to motivate me! I'm working in a café currently - there aren't enough shifts and those that I do get quite frankly just depress me - it's not something I want to be doing for the rest of my life, so I have to take some steps forward.

Moreover, I have to actually steal Gabe's words to describe my feelings, but after the shenannigans which went on before something was lost for me here which I never really got back. I distanced myself and haven't really felt a call to return. I'm not saying I never will - I know for a fact I will :) And I'm not deliberately trying to keep away from here...I just don't feel that connected with the place at the moment.

So out of a lack of time and motivation I'm quite happy to pass the buck on completely to Antonio and the rest of the mod team, who I'm absolutely confident will do a great job of keeping this place running smoothly. I kind of feel a bit like George Bush, getting into office, stirring everything up, then passing everything over to Obama to clean up the mess :D It was certainly a little tumultuous! I hope to be able to say that my short time here had a purpose and that the new set up and mod team is a kind of legacy I can leave behind. In reality though, it was the mods who did most of the hard diplomatic work during this time, so it's to them you should be really grateful.

Anyway, I'll be around some time in the future, and should anyone want to contact me you've all got my Facebook details (or can find them easily enough ;) )

Hope you're enjoying 2010! Take care :)

As I already said elsewhere, I wish you all the best for your career and would like to thank you for your kind words. Infact, even if we had some misunderstandings at the beginning of this new adventure for our different cultures and ways of thinking, as you has seen, then we agreed on many important points, didn't we? :P

Don't go too far from here, ok?

Regards, Susanna
